The world is far weirder than you think. It’s true that if you found these stories in a bookstore, they’d be under the headings of fantasy and science fiction. After all, they deal with wizards, ghosts, floating cities in the sky and other technological marvels.
But I can tell you, as a man who’s seen such things—seen far more unbelievable—you ought not be so ready to classify things as fiction, even when they go out of their way to present themselves as such. Especially then.
A bit of friendly advice from one whose waking life would the stuff of other men’s dreams, or nightmares. Indulge in a bit of fantasy now and then. That way, if the world ever reveals its nature to you fully, you won’t be caught sleeping.
